Social Enterprise Presentations

Six social enterprise applications that made it through to the finals of the Social Enterprise Grant Scheme have pitched their ideas to the panel in Dublin LEO offices this morning. With presentations and business plans in hand, new and experienced social enterprises pitched their ideas in front of the grant committee.

The Chosen Few

Amongst those that made it to the finals were:

Healthie: A social enterprise set up to help people make better health and lifestyle choices

Speedpak: The social enterprise that builds their business, to provide work opportunities, to end long term unemployment. Trading, Training, Transforming

Grow Dome Project: Dublin’s first geodesic grow dome in the heart of Dublin 8 is an intensive all-year-round sustainable food production tool, an arts and music exhibition space, a community meeting and education area, and an iconic piece of art in its own right – all at the same time.

Thrifity: Trying to unite the world’s charity retailers with a vision of one mammoth online charitable retailer, call it fleebay.

Walkinstown Green Social Enterprise:  Providing training and employment opportunities with Green Kitchen, Cafe and Gardening amongst other superb projects.

Eco Mattresses Recycling: Eco Mattress Recycling Ireland Ltd was set up as a Social Economy Enterprise. It provides trainees on back to work training schemes with valuable work experience.
