Your advice can go a long way!

Do you want to see how?

Social enterprises are companies / projects driven by a social cause, putting social impact before profit – their goal is to create a sustainable business model, so they can bring more good to local (or global) community.

Emerging social entrepreneurs have great ideas and they never lack the passion – they really, really want to make things better. And, as start-ups – they also face a lot of challenges.

Limited resources, lack of contacts, know how or funds – we know this won’t stop them, but might slow them down a little…

No asking for money, no asking for volunteers – just your brain for an hour or so in return for beer and pizza. As an McKinsey associate once said: “I would rather be surrounded by smart people than have a huge budget.”– so we would like to invite you to an problem-solving session in aid of your local social enterprises.

Our idea is simple – show up, enjoy some beer & pizza, chat and get to know those who try to make a social impact in Limerick and surrounding areas. They will present what they are trying to do and share small, day-to-day challenges they are facing. Then, we will ‘brainstorm’ a little to see if we can work something out to help them…

All hands on deck

The problems will vary, so we need all hands on deck – whatever your skillsexperiencehobbies or connections are – all are welcome to join us for that evening!

It will be fun couple of hours and trust us – one good piece of advice can make a HUGE difference to an emerging social enterprise!

And doesn’t it feel great to contribute to something meaningful? Be that hero! And who knows what else you will find there – an inspiration, useful contacts or new friends…

Our event will be hosted by Chris MM Gordon – business and a social entrepreneur, the CEO of the Irish Social Enterprise Network (Socent.ie) and BCorp Ireland.
