The Atlantic Social Lab project is hosting a Seminar on Public procurement and Social Enterprise on the 13th of November between 10am and 1pm in the Council Chamber in Cork City Hall.

This seminar will look at how social enterprises can participate in public procurement and from the procurers perspective it will look at how best to incorporate social considerations in public contracts.

It will be facilitated by Emma McEvoy from Maynooth University.  Emma is a Lecturer in Law at Maynooth University. Her doctoral research was funded by the Irish Research Council and examined the relationship between public procurement and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).  She is a board member of the Irish Social Enterprise Network, and recently hosted a European Commission funded ‘Buying for Social Impact’ conference in Dublin.

Further details on this Atlantic Social Lab seminar is attached and you can register for the event by sending me an email on Juliette_crowley@corkcity.ie
