Ireland’s First National Social Enterprise Conference

On behalf of Michael Ring T.D., Minister for Rural and Community Development, I am delighted to invite you to the 1st Annual National Social Enterprise Conference which will take place on International Social Enterprise Day, Thursday 21 November 2019, at Croke Park, Dublin.

The National Social Enterprise Policy 2019-2022 includes a commitment to hold an annual Social Enterprise Conference as part of its objective to Build Awareness of Social Enterprise. The Conference aims at providing networking opportunities, disseminating information, sharing experience and informing policy implementation.

The conference will convene some 150 delegates representing a diverse range of social enterprise stakeholders including Social Enterprise practitioners, support and networking organisations, funders, and public authorities at a central and local level.

The Theme of the Conference is:

‘Unlocking the transformational potential of Social Enterprise in Ireland.’

The conference will include 3 parallel sessions in the afternoon. When registering you will be invited to indicate which of these 3 session you would like to attend. Attendance at these sessions is limited, so register early to book your place.

Parallel Session 2 Supply Chain, Procurement and Market Opportunities for Social Enterprises

Parallel Session 3 Social Enterprise and the Community and Voluntary Sector: Complementarity of Purpose

A full draft agenda and directions to the venue are included below.

An informal lunch will be provided during the event, in this regard, please indicate in your reply if you have any particular dietary requirements to ensure that we can cater for your needs on the day.

Finally, as awareness and networking are key objectives of the day, we invite participants to bring a small pop-up stand for an exhibition space on the day. There will be opportunities for networking in this area over coffee and lunch throughout the day.
