Recovery Strategy for Europe

Building a resilient and sustainable economy

The 26th and the 27th of November would have been the dates for our original ‘European Social Economy Summit’ and to commemorate this, we will be organizing a 2 days event with over 15 different stakeholder sessions from all over Europe and beyond under the suitable umbrella theme “Recovery strategy for Europe“.

To help repair the economic and social damage brought by the coronavirus pandemic, the European Commission proposed a major recovery plan for Europe, leading the way out of the crisis and laying foundations for a modern and more sustainable Europe. The bulk of the proposed recovery measures will be powered by a new temporary recovery instrument Next Generation EU with financial firepower of €750 billion. On our first day, the 26th of November, we will be focusing on the question “Which role plays the social economy in building a resilient and sustainable economy?“, with keynote speakers such as Nicolas Schmit, Commissioner for Jobs and Social Rights and stakeholder sessions from the Euclid Network, Social Enterprise Netherlands, the Diesis Network, Academia and local and federal government representatives.

The second day, Friday the 27th is organizing according to the motto of the German EU Council Presidency, “Together for Europe’s recovery“ and includes speakers on ministerial and state secretary level from EU member states and representatives from the Social Entrepreneurship Network Germany and the Federal Working Group for non-governmental Welfare Services, as well as a policy panel with Members of the German Parliament.

We would love to welcome you as part of this event and exchange with NGOs, changemakers, social innovators, welfare organizations and policy makers.
