From the Atlantic Social Lab Project
The Atlantic Social Lab project in Cork held its first “Ask & Advise Evening” for Social Enterprises in Nano Nagel Place, Cork on the 18th of October 2018. This event brought together Social Enterprises from across the city and provided an opportunity for sharing problems and experiences and finding solutions.
It was facilitated by the Irish Social Enterprise Network’s Chris Gordon who has facilitated many similar events in other parts of Ireland. The first of its’ kind in Cork, it proved to be a very engaging and popular event with nearly 30 Social Enterprises attending. Issues discussed ranged from the best legal structure for a Social Enterprise to ways to engage the private sector and how to develop and implement effective low budget marketing programmes. This event will be followed by another Ask & Advise evening in March 2019.
