The 2015 Better Together Video Competition is now open for entries!

For all social entrepreneurs with an interest in filming, now is the time to get your creativity in gear and to enter your short video over on www.bettertogether.ie.

Once your video is live on the site, the next step will be to encourage as many people to vote for it as possible (supporters can vote once daily between 24 September and 20 November).

Why you should enter

Consider these 3 reasons for starters:

  1. You could win €2,000 for your non-profit
  2. You’ll have an excellent opportunity to raise your public profile
  3. You can also attract donations and even sign up new volunteers.

So, what exactly do you have to do?

Grab your camera (it could be a phone, or something more advanced – it’s up to you really), and start shooting footage for a short video that tells a story about:.

  • What you do

  • Why it is important to your community

  • How the public can support you.

Note: videos that engage with the theme (“Better Together”) will receive bonus points in the judging process.

Q. Exactly how short should your ‘short video’ be?
A. 2-minutes or less.
