I wanted to bring your attention specifically to our module Introduction to Social Enterprise and Development (QQI Level 6 – 10 credits) with a progression path to Certificate in Leadership and Social Enterprise (QQI Level 6 – 60 credits) which starts on Saturday 7th September in case you missed it.  This programme is delivered through our model of blended online learning making it very accessible and flexible for learners.  See page 18 on the attached Programme Prospectus for full details.

 

Deadline for application is tomorrow Friday 16th August 2019 but if you or someone you know is very interested and just can’t get an application to us within this timeframe email me ASAP to register the interest as would really like to support participants to access this programme. You or someone you know may benefit from this information and I would be grateful if you could share this information with your networks.

I summarize the range of available options and other programmes we offer below:

 

  1. Standalone Modules – our full suite of 32 standalone modules include a range of subjects from unaccredited through to Special Purpose Awards QQI Level 6 &7

Learners can register for any of the modules listed under the Certificate or Higher Cert Programmes detailed in the attached Programme Prospectus and listed on Academic Calendar as a standalone module but learners are required to travel to Dublin for face to face workshops.  We will continue to accept applications for these modules throughout the year where spaces are available. Tailored modules are also listed which will be delivered in collaboration with Community Partners in locations across the country. A brief overview of modules is provided on page 4-12 on attached Prospectus. Start dates and deadline dates are listed on attached Academic calendar. Deadlines for registration for a module is 3 weeks before the start date of any module.

 

  1. Certificate & Higher Certificate Programmes:

As part of our flagship programmes, we offer three QQI Level 6 Certificates starting on 7th September 2019 and two Higher Certificates starting 14thSeptember 2019.

Those marked with an * below offer progression paths to a Higher Certificate (in year 2) and BA Degree (in year 3).  Full details provided on page 13-18 on attached.
Final Deadline for registrations for these Programmes has been extended to Friday 16th August 2019

  • “Tein-Eigen the Need-Fire” – A monthly online series of live community conversations exploring Social Enterprise   (see page 23 on Prospectus for further details).

 

  1. Collaborating with Community Partners we offer tailored modules, from a suite of 32 modules (see page 4-12)

An Cosán VCC can tailor a module specifically for a community partner in a geographical location anywhere in Ireland – minimum of 18 learners required which can be made up of individual learners from a number of community organisations who work together to provide the Technology Hubs for learners in their respective areas.   The Face to Face workshops are delivered in a venue/location that is accessible to all the learners in the region.   A significant lead-in time is required to put all the required resources in place to enable this to happen. Important points to note on Registration

  • Payment of Fees: Fees policy and payment schedule (available on request). As soon as you have submitted your registration form, we ask learners to complete the Fees Payment Schedule and return to email info@ancosanvcc.com ASAP
  • Funding supports for Programme Fees:  For information on potential sources of funding supports and FAQ (see page 26-29 on Prospectus for further details).
  • Registration and Bursary Application Deadlines:

For Certificate & Higher Certificate Programmes starting in September 2019, final deadline extended to Friday 16th August 2019 but we recommend participants register ASAP as places are limited.

For all standalone modules, the deadline is 3 weeks before start date. Deadline dates are outlined on the attached Academic Calendar.

  • Timeslots for courses: The time slots on the Registration form (AM timeslot 10-12.30pm or PM timeslot 6-8.30pm) have been selected based on highest demand.   If your timeslot preference is not available in the online registration form for the course you wish to do please email info@ancosanvcc.com asap and tell us which Certificate/Higher Cert you want to register for and your time preference.  If we get enough demand we may still run this timeslot but we need to know ASAP.
  • If the module you are interested in is not listed on the 2019/2020 calendar: All our modules are offered based on demand. Please tell us what you what to do. If the module you are interested in is not available in the online registration form please complete this online google survey to register your interest.  If we get enough demand (minimum of 18 required) we will plan this module in the Autumn 2019 / Spring 2020 timetable.
