From European Commission
Social economy stakeholders and organisations play a crucial role in these difficult times in communities, cities, municipalities and regions.
At EU level we have recently presented several new initiatives, actions and projects that are important for the twin (green and digital) transition of EU economy.
A recently launched ESER 2021 Call offers a unique opportunity for SE stakeholders to be part of a co-design process towards this transitions in different perspectives.
ESER4Skills strand of the Call will enable successful applicants to be part of expert round-table discussions leading to tabling joint commitments of the Proximity&SE ecosystem who might join the Pact for Skills in May 2021. As you know, via the Pact different public and private organisations will join forces and take concrete action to upskill and reskill people in Europe towards the twin transition.
The “ESER4NEB” thematic strand of the Call will allow successful applicants to be part of targeted conversations on the New European Bauhaus initiative. A first – design phase of the initiative – has started on 18 January 2021. The New European Bauhaus initiative connects the European Green Deal to our living spaces. It calls on all Europeans to imagine and build together a sustainable and inclusive future that is beautiful for our eyes, minds, and souls. Via this strand the successful applicants will have a unique opportunity to have a targeted conversation with a leading COM Unit for New European Bauhaus to share their ideas and/or projects that could be possibly reflected in upcoming NEB pilots. For more detailed info on NEB, its implementation phases and expected outcomes, check the following website: https://europa.eu/new-european-bauhaus/index_en
If you think some of your networks, members or partners should be part of these discussions please don’t hesitate to disseminate the link to ESER 2021 Call: https://webgate.ec.europa.eu/fpfis/wikis/display/SEC/ESER+-+European+Social+Economy+Regions). The Call is open for submission of applications until 15 February 2021.
