The Irish Social Enterprise Network has been asked to participate in a roundtable discussion on social economy with Nicolas Schmit, European Commissioner for Jobs and Social Rights.
The following invite outlines the content of the roundtable:
“Commissioner Schmit has been mandated by Commission President von der Leyen to prepare an action plan for the social economy. For this purpose, the Commission is consulting with a wide range of stakeholders and we are receiving a great deal of feedback in particular through our expert group on social economy and social enterprises. At this early stage of the preparation of the action plan, Commissioner Schmit is keen to exchange views with stakeholders active at national level.
The Commissioner would therefore very much welcome the opportunity for an informal exchange of views, drawing on your knowledge and experience of challenges and successful approaches to supporting the social economy. ”
