Shuttle Knit have been a much-loved business in Wicklow Town for 20 years. Since 2001, Wicklow Traveller women have been designing, handcrafting, and selling beautiful, Irish knitwear.
We are a social enterprise, which means our customers’ support does “more good” for communities as our profits are reinvested into the local Wicklow economy and the Traveller Community. We are dedicated to “Knitting Communities Together” and we now employ 16 staff across both settled and Traveller communities.
Our staff at Shuttle Knit are highly skilled knitters, seamstresses and designers who have created a range of ethical, sustainable knitwear. Our collection is showcased online, at local and national markets and in our partner retailers throughout Ireland and worldwide.
