As part of the ARISE “Future is Social” Campaign, we commissioned public sentiment research via Amárach Research to learn more about the public’s understanding of the term ‘Social Enterprise’. This is a powerful reflection on the ARISE programme and demonstrates the impact that the efforts that have been made have had on the populace at large.
Key findings show that over the past year:

  • There has been a 4% increase in awareness of social enterprise in Ireland;
  • The understanding of the term ‘social enterprise’ has increased by 7%;
  • 54% of adults feel that their understanding of ‘social enterprise’ has increased;
  • Levels of engagement with social enterprises have increased by 9%.

This project was approved by Government with support from the Dormant Accounts Fund.
