Circular Economy Hotspot Dublin 2023, a four-day celebration of the circular economy!

This year, Dublin will host the 7th edition of the flagship Circular Economy Hotspot, an international platform showcasing ground-breaking circular initiatives, best practices, and innovation.

Join pioneering leaders and businesses to gain a deeper understanding of the impact of the circular economy on communities and see how policy, citizen engagement, and innovation are helping to drive the circular transition. This unique event presents an enriching and educational programme with interactive activities, presentations, thematic workshops, tours and conversations that will leave a lasting impression on everyone involved and activate the implementation of the circular economy.

Day 1, 29th May 2023: Opening Ceremony

The celebration begins with an opening ceremony at the Round Room at Dublin’s Mansion House. Attendees will be addressed by Lord Mayor of Dublin Caroline Conroy, and other high-profile speakers.

Day 2, 30th May 2023: City Conference

The flagship conference will be held at Dublin’s Croke Park Stadium. It will feature an impressive lineup of prominent circular economy leaders and experts who will delve into the latest developments and trends in the circular economy. Along with high-level contributions by the European Commission, Minister for Public Procurement, eGovernment and Circular Economy, Ossian Smyth, and Director General of the Environmental Protection Agency, Laura Burke, themed discussions will include: “Policy in Practice,” “Building Circular Communities: Citizen Engagement,” and “Innovation & Collaboration.”

Day 3, 31st May 2023: Deep Dive Workshops

On day 3, attendees will dive deeper into the circular economy in four key areas: Food & Bioeconomy, Built Environment, Design & Manufacturing, and Social Enterprise. These participatory workshops, led by industry leaders and experts, provide an excellent opportunity for attendees to engage with like-minded individuals and collaboratively explore the opportunities of the circular economy across sectoral areas. Delegates choose between one of two parallel sessions in the morning and afternoon.

Day 3, 31st May 2023: Delegates Dinner

The Hotspot delegate’s dinner will take place in the landmark Guinness Storehouse. Tickets are available as a separate purchase for €50 per person. To secure your seat at the table, please remember to add this option during the ticket purchase process.

Day 4, 1st June 2023: Circular Economy Tours

The 4 day event concludes with an opportunity for attendees to visit some of Ireland’s innovative companies, initiatives, institutions and places. Witness first-hand the practical implementation of the circular economy through engaging tours, site visits, public events and activities!
