EU Semester for Beginners

Open to ENSIE members (free) +
anyone (€350; €200 for NGOs)

Hosted by Aziza Yussupova, ENSIE Senior Policy Officer
The European Semester is a yearly process which coordinates, monitors, and assesses the economic, social, environmental, and other policies of EU Member States. It gives advice to help put EU strategies like the European Pillar of Social Rights and its Action Plan, as well as targets for employment and poverty reduction, into action. The active engagement of civil society organizations in policy development, implementation, and evaluation is essential to ensure that policies are grounded in evidence and aligned with the realities on the ground. Unfortunately, civil society organizations face challenges related to their understanding of and ability to participate effectively in this process.

This session aims to explicit the objectives, phases and the timeline of the European Semester as well as present concrete actions to be led for efficient advocacy actions at national and local/national levels.
