From ENSIE
The European Parliament’s Committee on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection (IMCO) has adopted a report recognising the importance of the Social Economy in public procurement. This development reflects the ongoing advocacy efforts of ENSIE and its partners in the Network for Sustainable Development in Public Procurement (NSDPP). Find the full report at this link.
Together, the NSDPP Alliance calls for public procurement rules that:
- Go beyond the lowest price
- Prioritise decent work, fair wages, and sustainability.
- Ensure simplification without undermining quality control.
The report now awaits a plenary vote in September – further advocacy actions are expected in the lead-up.
