The Department of the Environment, Climate and Communications is seeking input into Ireland’s Social Climate Plan 2025 — and this is a moment where the voice of social enterprises really matters.
The Social Climate Plan is about ensuring a fair and just transition as we address climate change. It will set out how Ireland supports households, communities, and businesses in meeting the challenges of moving towards a low-carbon economy.
💡 Social enterprises are already at the forefront of tackling social and environmental challenges — from creating green jobs to supporting vulnerable communities. This consultation is a chance to:
-
Highlight the role your organisation plays in climate action and community resilience
-
Share examples of how social enterprises deliver social value alongside environmental impact
-
Shape how government supports can enable social enterprises to do even more
📢 We strongly encourage social enterprises, networks, and supporters to make a submission. Your experience and insight are vital to ensuring the plan reflects the lived realities of communities across Ireland.
